It is one in a series entitled "Art Around the Bay", The series celebrates Hamilton's historic Around the Bay Road Race, the oldest Running Race in North America. Since 1894, it has become a defining feature of Hamilton's history and culture. 

Hamilton artist Dylan Swan has created 31 paintings in this series, one painting for each kilometer of the 30k run (plus one for the start line).
