The Moon is the fifth-largest natural satellite in our Solar System and the only extraterrestrial body that has ever been visited by humankind. Its gravitational pull controls our tides, its cycles inspired our calendars and its mysteries are the center of many folktales and mythologies.
Designer Brendan Ravenhill has configured the Moon into a foldable magnetic cube octahedron, a representation of Earth’s only satellite that easily transitions from flat to three dimensional. Fold it to form a three dimensional moon or unfold to reveal a flattened moonscape.
