Collection: Kevin Sonmor

Kevin Sonmor, born in Alberta in 1959, is a distinguished contemporary artist. Balancing abstraction and representation, he challenges conventional understanding of art history by manipulating compositions. Having completed his education at the Alberta College of Art and Concordia University, his artistic journey has taken him from solo exhibitions with the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie and Galerie de Bellefeuille to showcasing at international art shows such as Art Toronto and Art Miami. His paintings have been featured in group exhibitions worldwide, including at the Burke Gallery of State University of New York and The Agnes Etherington Art Gallery of Queen’s University. His works are housed in various public collections, including the Canada Council Art Bank, Sunlife Insurance, and The Royal Bank of Canada.
