Barb Sachs has been working in clay and raku for over 25 years in the Hamilton/Dundas area – creating original designs and showing and selling locally and abroad.  Her work can be found in many collections here, and internationally. 

Her signature polar bears have been presented to several heads of state, including President Nelson Mandela as well as Her Majesty, the Queen.  With nature as her inspiration and clay as her medium, Barb creates her sculptures with an eye for design.  The variation of glaze effects that the raku firing technique allows provides the palette for these animal forms.
