"My name is Maisie (he/they) and I love to create femme worlds that cater to disability and madness. I am a painter and crafter in the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Mississaugas, where I make multimedia pieces that surrender to love and serve love. I have artistic visions of love that soothe and nurture women and femmes by dismantling what is beautiful while participating in joy. My art is pink and gooey, soft and rough, always with femme science in mind. Femme science is a concept designed by Kim Katrin Milan, to honour the craft, knowledge, and technologies created and passed down in femme spaces. Painting, for me, is a way of surrendering to the work of envisioning liberation as a natural and beautiful present and future that we can create together."
